2016 O’Hara Jog-A-Thon Rules Rules for raffle tickets: Rule 1: All raffle tickets earned will cumulate and carry over from ALL weeks, starting with summer incentive through the day of Jog-A-Thon (October 20, 2017) for a chance to win a raffle prize.
Rule 2: Students are eligible to win only one raffle prize per week.
Rule 3: Throughout the Jog-A-Thon campaign, all money/pledges must be turned in by 8:05am each Friday in order for tickets to be entered in the raffle drawing the following Monday.
Rule 4: For every $20.00 pledged, a student will receive ONE raffle ticket.
Rule 5: For every $20.00 in pre-paid pledges, a student will receive TWO raffle tickets.
Rule 6: When a student reaches their goal of $120.00 in pledges, they will receive an additional TEN raffle tickets.
Rule 7: SUMMER INCENTIVE: Students who bring in at least $120 in pledges by 3:10pm on the first day of school, will be entered into the Summer Incentive Raffle Drawing. Three raffle tickets will be drawn at the Jog-A- Thon Kick- Off Assembly. Rules for medals for laps ran: Rule 1: The girls and boys in each grade (Pre-K - 8th grade) with the most laps ran will receive gold, silver or bronze medals.
Rule 2: The BOY and GIRL who run the MOST laps overall in the ENTIRE school will receive their name on the school trophy as well as a gift certificate for a pair of Nike ID’s.
Pre-school Jog-A-Thon rules: Rule 1: All Pre-School students participating in the Jog-A-Thon will be on the Pre-K Park field and will receive a medal award for participating in this event. (They will not receive a gold, silver or bronze medal at the results assembly).
Rule 2: Pre-School students will be running around the Pre-K Park track for 30 minutes.
Rule 3: To emphasize participation and encourage Pre-School students, an amount of 20 laps will be used for per-lap pledge purposes. Flat pledges are encouraged.
*Students who are not present the day of the Jog-A-Thon will be counted as running 20 laps*
